If the invoice sits behind a login, the browser agent signs in and downloads it. You confirm the second factor with one tap.
FeaturesChrome extension
The extension is optional: by default, the Mac app fetches invoices in its own integrated browser. If you turn on browser control and Chrome is your default browser, the extension and the native messaging host are used. Print to PDF and download sheets then go through macOS Accessibility, and no portal password has to be stored with us.

If the invoice sits behind a login, the browser agent signs in and downloads it. You confirm the second factor with one tap.
Turn on browser control in the Mac app, and the agent uses your default browser: Chrome, Chrome Beta, Canary or Chromium through this extension, otherwise Safari.
When a receipt is missing, the agent opens a separate Chrome window, downloads the invoice from the portal and closes the window again. Your normal tabs are not read or controlled.
Saving a page as PDF and download dialogs go through macOS Accessibility, the permission browser control needs. Screen Recording stays optional.
The extension talks only to the signed belege.ai app on the same Mac, via native messaging, not to a third-party service online. It needs the Mac app on macOS 14 or later.
Download the signed app after signing in, start it from Applications and turn on browser control.
The install button appears after you sign in; the Mac app registers the native messaging helper automatically.
When a search reaches a new portal, you approve exactly that domain and the run continues.
No. The Mac app fetches invoices in its integrated browser without any extension, and without a Mac the hosted browser agent does the work. The extension is only for optional Chrome control.
Then the Safari extension is used instead. It ships with the Mac app, so there is nothing extra to install. The choice follows the system default; Edge and Firefox are not supported yet.
No. It is there for the agent run that is collecting a receipt, not as a general record of your browsing: it controls only the separate agent window and asks for site access one portal at a time.
Not in the extension. When Chrome runs on your Mac, the agent uses the session you are already signed in to, so the portal password does not have to be stored with us.
When a search reaches a domain that is not approved yet, the run pauses and shows exactly that domain. You confirm it with one click, or the Mac app confirms it for you, and the search continues.
