What does belege.ai cost?
Your first 10 receipts found by belege.ai are free, with no time limit or credit card required. A subscription is required afterwards. Receipts already in Lexware or sevDesk do not count towards the free allowance. Standard monthly plans are EUR 39 (Essential), EUR 90 (Professional) and EUR 199 (Advanced) per workspace, excluding VAT and separately billed add-ons. Minimum-plan eligibility depends on average outgoing-payment volume and connected features such as American Express. Review plans and the applicable subscription terms before subscribing. How much setup does it take?
Ready in about 2 minutes: connect Telegram, optionally an inbox or bank account — no bank switch, no software migration.
Do I have to switch my existing tool?
Keep your accounting software. belege.ai recovers missing invoices and prepares PDFs and transaction context for your bookkeeper. QuickBooks and Xero handover is manual, not a live connection. Lexware, sevDesk and DATEV serve supported German workflows.
Is my bank supported?
US bank transactions are imported by CSV. American Express and PayPal connect directly and keep syncing; belege.ai never moves money. There is no live feed for other US banks. German open banking remains available for accounts in Germany.
Do you scan my inbox?
Yes, once a day by default: AI reviews new emails with PDF attachments and imports invoices, receipts and credit notes; the first run reaches back to the start month you pick during setup. If a transaction still has no receipt, the agent also searches for it specifically. You can limit any mailbox to open transactions; it is then searched only when a payment is missing a receipt. With the Mac app it can also stay on your device: connect Gmail on the Mac, Apple Intelligence recognizes invoices locally (macOS 26), and only the invoices it finds are uploaded — your emails never leave the Mac. Alternatively, forward invoices to your belege.ai address.
What do you mean by bank data?
We mean transaction data: date, amount, counterparty, reference, CSV/API import. belege.ai needs no payment access and never triggers transfers.
What counts as one account?
Prices apply per belege.ai account or workspace, not per team member. Team members, roles and multiple companies are included from Professional; each company keeps its own receipts, bank accounts and exports.
Are uploaded photos returned as PDF?
Normal photo and PDF uploads are stored, read, matched and included in the export. Ready-made generated PDFs exist for meal receipts, travel expenses and self-receipts.
What happens to my data?
Servers in Germany, encrypted credentials, no training on your data. Processing GDPR-compliant under Art. 6.
Are the receipts tax-office-compliant?
Meal receipts capture a one-tap electronic approval that is timestamped in the PDF, together with the amount, guests and business purpose auditors expect. German customers additionally get the GoBD/BMF-compliant format with DATEV export. More on security.
